The CPP50619 Diploma of Security and Risk Management is designed for security risk consultants who provide specialist advice on strategies to mitigate risks to people, property, and assets, including crowded places as defined by Australia’s Strategy for Protecting Crowded Places from Terrorism (2017). Professionals operating at this level work with a high degree of autonomy to assess current threat environments, evaluate risk management options, and develop and implement comprehensive security risk management plans and communication systems to respond to active threats.
Entry Requirements
To enroll in this qualification, candidates must have completed one of the following:
- CPP40707 Certificate IV in Security and Risk Management, or
- CPP40719 Certificate IV in Security Management, or
- CPP41519 Certificate IV in Security Risk Analysis
These prerequisites ensure that learners possess foundational knowledge and skills pertinent to security and risk management.
Qualification Structure
To achieve the CPP50619 Diploma of Security and Risk Management, a total of 10 units must be completed:
- 5 core units
- 5 elective units
